New VS mockup I'm working on. I had to do it completely from scratch, cus my hdd decided that a headcrash would be a fun thing to do. I disagreed.

Any suggestions, comments, critic?

edit: some additions and progress
and my HDD was able to be recovered \o/
That means I can also release my icon theme, I was working on, with the theme together (when I have the money to pay for the recovery, donations will be accepted and apprechiated! :D )

I like your color choices for the progress bars and the buttons and scroll bars are nice. What font are you planning to use for the text? It looks very blocky.

Okay, it's not that they're bad, they are legible.

Overall impression is that I'd definitely switch to this if you'll release this. However, I'm not a big fan of the fonts you used for the sidebar navigation and window title list. It looks nice for the buttons and address bar though.

I'm not sure about using windows' regular close/minimize buttons as a template, that's what every single theme does. They're the same ones, but with anothe cross, another highlight glow or another tone. It's kinda dull. I personally haven't found a theme that beats clearscreen sharp yet, and that is with the clsoe/minimize buttons taken into account. They're formatted like in XP, but smaller and without being "boxed" up.

I feel like this comment is more like plain criticism than it is constructive but... Well it's more of a personal preference I guess, I still really really (!) like the colors and the mix of white and black. I'd also like to hear if you pick up on anything I wrote because I really feel this theme has more potential than many other themes have :)

well people always complained about the bitmapfonts, I dont know why I like 'em, but I will do a normal font version I guess.

the caption buttons have the same size as the default ones, yes, but everything else is new about them the shape, the glows,..
they maybe are boxed in like most others, but I like that and for the feel I wanted to create and it works fine. the big problem is: the close button has a fixed size, you have to kinda of cheat to get it as small as the others, and because of that the symetry will shift to the left a bit. when they are not boxed in like in clearsharp you can do that without breaking the symetry.

here are 2 examples [link] & [link] ... actually the second version looks quite good.

anyways thanks for your comment/critique :D

Looks nice and highly usable. I would, however, get rid of the slight gloss on the taskbar. Also, maybe play a bit with the size of scrollbars and try smaller to see how it would look. You may also want to test the inner borders and separators, the pure white might be too sharp, maybe try to soften the effect. But these are just some dots, all in all it looks pretty good as it is and I am sure it will be badass when released as a final version.
